2012 Indo-American Frontiers of Engineering Symposium

At-a-Glance

The 2012 Indo-American Frontiers of Engineering was hosted by Lockheed Martin and held March 1-3, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. About 60 outstanding engineers under the age of 45 met for an intensive 2-1/2 day symposium to discuss cutting-edge developments in four areas: Engineering Large Infrastructure for Disaster/Hazards, Engineering at the Interface of Science, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and Technology Enablers for Advances in Aerospace Materials. The event facilitates international and cross-disciplinary research collaboration, promotes the transfer of new techniques and approaches across disparate engineering fields, and encourages the creation of a transatlantic network of world-class engineers.

Links to presentation slides are in the List of Sessions below, and links to the papers are in the Program.

The National Academy of Engineering would like to express its gratitude to our sponsor the Indo-U.S. Science & Technology Forum,  and our host Lockheed Martin.
