The 2015 China-America Frontiers of Engineering Symposium was held June 1-3, at the National Academies' Beckman Center in Irvine, California. Sixty of the most promising engineers under the age of 45 from China and the United States met for an intensive 2-1/2 day symposium to discuss cutting-edge developments in four areas: Advanced Manufacturing, Big Data, Clean Water, and Devices for Health Care. The event facilitated international and cross-disciplinary research collaboration, promoted the transfer of new techniques and approaches across disparate engineering fields, and encouraged the creation of a transpacific network of world-class engineers.
Links to presentation slides are in the List of Sessions below, and links to the papers are in the Program.
The program was carried out in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
The National Academy of Engineering would like to express its gratitude to The Grainger Foundation and the National Science Foundation for their support of the 2015 CAFOE Symposium.
