Presentations and Copyright We would like to post abstracts and presentations online so that attendees can reference them and share them with colleagues. Please complete and return the forms below when you submit your session abstract no later than February 1, 2012. US Copyright form US Copyright form for US government employees Travel Regulations and Reimbursement The Frontiers of Engineering is funded through government grants and therefore must follow federal travel regulations. Please read the information below as well as our travel policies carefully to ensure all travel meets these guidelines.
Airfare: NAE has funding available to cover coach-class airfare of organizing committee members and speakers based on a 21-day advance purchase. Typically, these round-trip fares are around $1,200 or less. Please book your flights as soon as possible. You will need to depart for Germany on Tuesday, March 27 to arrive in time to attend full meeting. You must use our travel agency, Kentlands Travel. They are familiar with Academy travel rules associated with international travel, and they are able to direct bill your ticket to NAE. Note that we will reimburse only for a round-trip coach class ticket between your home city and Berlin during the official meeting dates. If your trip will incorporate travel to another city for other business or travel outside the immediate meeting dates, please contact Elizabeth Weitzmann (eweitzmann@nae.edu) prior to booking your flight.
Lodging: A block of hotel rooms has been reserved for all symposium attendees at the Steigenberger Hotel Sanssouci, Potsdam. Your room, except for incidentals, will be direct-billed to the Humboldt Foundation for the following dates: arrival March 28 / departure March 31 or April 1 (depending on your return flight to the U.S.). Please note that any additional nights apart from the dates listed will have to be covered by the individual participant.
