My research focuses on sustainable transportation systems, in particular the impacts of new vehicle technology systems on traveler safety, behavior, and the environment.

Attending and speaking at the German-American Frontiers of Engineering Symposium in 2019 was a unique opportunity to interact with top researchers across disciplinary and geographic boundaries. We had great conversations about research overlaps and gaps among our fields, but also relatable discussion about the challenges of growing a diverse STEM workforce pipeline and how to be better advocates for our advisees and colleagues to support a more diverse scientific community.
