I develop regenerative medicine approaches for neural injury such as traumatic brain injury, particularly systemic nanoparticle-based theranostics, drug delivery across the blood-brain barrier, and cell transplantation strategies.

FOE provides a unique opportunity to have interdisciplinary interactions across many engineering fields. It enabled me to connect and learn from colleagues in engineering specialties that appear starkly different but may have a common thread that connected an approach related to my expertise.
