My group synthesizes new biomaterials to detect, target, and treat disease, including controlled and targeted nanoparticulate drug delivery systems.
The FOE gave me the opportunity to not only share my own work but to connect with engineering leaders in different disciplines and sectors including academic, government, and industry from the US and China. This connection became even more clear when I attended the Grand Challenges summit in Bejing last fall, where I was graciously hosted by Chinese engineers I had met at the FOE.
